STATEMENT FROM CLONTARF GAA CLUB REGARDING RECENT VANDALISM IN ST. ANNE’S PARK
Clontarf GAA has long advocated for the provision of additional facilities in St. Anne's Park, ranging from an urgent requirement to improve pitches to the provision of toilets and changing facilities within the park. The club is acutely conscious of the significant inconvenience faced by members and by visiting teams in not having ready access to toilet facilities located in close proximity to playing pitches.
In that regard, Clontarf GAA welcomed the recent provision of additional toilet facilities which were intended to address this issue in the short term. The club condemns in the strongest possible terms, the wanton and mindless vandalism which has resulted in significant damage to the toilets.
In our ongoing efforts to address key priorities such as improved pitches and the availability of toilet facilities, Clontarf GAA is open to working with Dublin City Council on both the type and location of toilet facilities in St. Anne's. Clearly, a more robust solution is required.
