Garda Vetting (Under 18)

Persons aged 16 and 17 can apply to be Garda vetted. All juvenile members have their own Profile on Foireann but nobody under 18 has their own Login to Foireann. For anyone aged 16 and 17, the parent applies for vetting on their behalf. These are the steps:
Step 1: To apply for garda vetting, you must have them linked to your account in the FAMILY tab on Foireann.
Step 2: From the HOME page, select the juvenile's membership
Step 3: Go into the juvenile's Profile.
Ensure all fields in the PROFILE section are accurate.
The name and address in Foireann must match the ID documentation shown to the Club Childrens Officer (CCO)
The Date of Birth field and Eircode field must be populated to progress the application
Step 4: Select Qualifications and Vetting
Step 5: Select Apply to be vetted
Step 6: Select your Club and or Association you wish to be vetted for. It doesn’t matter which association you choose; the application process is the same for all.
Step 7: Select the role you are applying for.
Nursery Coaches/TY coaches select: Coach or Manager with players 18 years and under.
Referees select: Match Official whose role includes the care and supervision of children participating in matches.
Step 8: Arrange Face to Face meeting with Club Children’s Officer (CCO). The applicant and their parent/guardian must attend the meeting

Documentation Required for meeting
1. The NVB1 Vetting Invitation Form.
The applicant completes page 1. The form must contain a wet (handwritten) signature and the tick box to consent to be vetted. The CCO completes page 2 of the NVB1 form.
2. Passport from country of citizenship- this is mandatory and the CCO must sight an original copy
3. Proof of Address dated within 6 months. Provide one of the following;
Bank statement (not Revolut)
Utility bill (not mobile phone)
Written statement from school principal confirming attendance (on school letterhead)
Government dept. correspondence
Birth Certificate
The CCO must sight an original copy of the ID document
4. Parental Consent Form
