Green Team Clontarf GAA
In July 2022, a few like minded members of the club came together under the chairmanship of Paul MacDermott to form a ‘Green Team’, with a view to promoting a more sustainable approach to the operation of the club and to encourage a similar approach in the community in general.
The Club applied for inclusion in the Green Clubs initiative with the GAA and was successful and included in Phase 2 of that initiative. This gave us a more structured approach to our work and goals and allowed us to follow the milestones laid out in the Green Club’s programme. https://www.gaa.ie/my-gaa/community-and-health/green-clubs-sustainability/.
If any club member would like to be involved please contact Paul MacDermott email paulmacdermott@gmail.com, Mick Arthur email arthurmick@gmail.com or Clontarf GAA at greenclub@clontarfgaa.com.
The above contact details may also be used by any other GAA clubs wishing to hear our experiences in going through the set up and implementation process or seeking information that may be of help.
