Handball Update

There was a great turnout for the first handball foundation coaching course held in Clontarf GAA headquarters last Saturday. Seventeen individuals (male AND female) ranging in ages from 16 to 66 completed the course.

Following on immediately afterwards we had an invitation from Garda Mark Richardson from our local Clontarf Garda station to take part in an exhibition match in their beautifully restored 60x30 ball alley at the back of the station. We had handballers from Clontarf, Na Fianna and St Brigid’s handball clubs take part. This is a great amenity to have in the community and it would be a tremendous facility to have in order to develop and progress the game in Clontarf.

On Wednesday night we had a selection of the U9 hurlers take part in a handball training session and great fun was had. All are eager to return next Wed for more action.

We are aiming for Wednesday and Friday evenings at the moment between 7-9pm at the club house. Any members keen to join contact gmcraddock@gmail.com or 087 2230179.

Finally One Wall Handballs are now available in An Siopa. The Challenger ball is good for starting out and the regular One Wall handball available while stocks last.
