Division 6 Men's Hurling league match vs Fingallians
After our Senior Men’s Hurlers won last night, it was the turn of the Junior As this morning. Another good win in the end of an exciting game where the lads were down by four at the break. Some pics below from our PRO Team.
Climate X Change Event
We had a huge turnout in the club for our first Climate X Change Event this evening with around 120 people in attendance to listen to our six great speakers. The assembled audience then split into groups to come up with suggestions for what we can do to help with Biodiversity, Solar, Soil, Water, you name it, it was discussed! Thanks to all the organisers, speakers and participants for a great evening of discussion and plenty of action planned!

Red White and Blue Parkrun
Great to see so many smiling faces out this morning in red, white and blue in St Anne's for the Parkrun 5km. Thanks to Pat Walsh for the great photos and the Healthy Club Team for organising.
Every Step Counts is back for '24 - let's get stepping!

The Every Step Counts Challenge is back and starts on Mon 8th January and runs until 12th February. We need to get lots of people signed up and recording their KMs to have a chance to compete as well as we did last year when we finished first in Leinster!
Signing up is really simple - just follow these easy steps:
📱 Download the Irish Life MyLife app either from the Google Play Store (Android Phones) or the Apple App Store (iphones)
💬 Register or log in (if you have an account already)
💪 Select your challenge (Social▶️Challenges▶️Leinster▶️Clontarf GAA❤️🤍)
🚶♀️🚶 Track your walks or runs from 8th Jan until 12th Feb!
**Important Step!!**
Connecting your phone's step counter/activity tracker is really important or we won't get the benefit of all your walking! In the MyLife App, go to ‘Track’ then ‘Trackers’ then select your device (e.g. Fitbit, Apple Watch, SmartWatch, etc.). The easiest way being to simply add your phone’s health app. If you don’t do this, we won’t get your steps!
Remember - Every Step Counts!
The challenge lasts for just over a month and it's a great excuse to get yourself and the family out for a much needed bit of air. There is some good banter back and forth between the clubs on Twitter too, so keep an eye on @clontarfgaaclub to follow all the craic!
Stay safe, stay well, and if you see anyone out in their club colours, wave or stop and say hi! There is also lots more information on our website around what the healthy club are doing (clontarfgaa.com/healthy-club) and some more specific information on physical activities to think about to stay well throughout the year (clontarfgaa.com/physical-activity)

The Second Annual Nora Arthur Memorial Tournament
On Friday 29th December we held the second Annual Nora Arthur Memorial Tournament at the club in which twelve teams of adult players, mentors and parents competed over the course of the afternoon for the memorial trophy named in honour of Nora.
The eponymous trophy was presented to the winning captain Mattias Mac Donncha (Tiz) on behalf of the winning Team 5 by Nora’s Dad, Neil.

THE FINAL AND THE OVERALL WINNERS
After 18 high-intensity and dramatic “group-stage” matches and two high-stakes semi finals, a tense and exciting final ensued between Team 12 and Team 5. Team 5 would eventually win the day by 4-0 with a second title in a row for young Cian O’Connor and a goal to boot! A worthy final for a brilliant day of sport and craic.
Not only that, but a whopping €2,900 (and still rising!) was raised for the very worthy cause of Oscar’s Kids. Well done to all involved. If you’d still like to donate, click here.
With apologies for the mediocre quality (!), some snaps from the day below.
Community Christmas Party
It was Clontarf GAA’s great privilege to host a wonderful Christmas Party for our local Ukrainian families today. Thanks to everyone who came, we hope you enjoyed it!
Huge thanks are due to all those involved in organising the event, led by Roisin Kelly in our Healthy Club team. That includes everyone who brought gifts and provided the lovely Irish and Ukrainian food and Manning’s Bakery for their seasonal delicacies. Particular thanks to the Sean Treacy Trad group, the Sean Gilligan Performing Arts group and our Ukrainian family singers and musicians for the fantastic entertainment.
Thanks also to our young leaders on the Dermot Earley Youth Leadership Programme who did the face painting and kids games - and of course to our special visitor Santa for taking time out from his busy schedule to join us to help make it such a truly special occasion!
Some great photos and videos are below.
