We had a great evening in the club on Friday celebrating our fantastic sponsors. Pat Walsh was on hand to capture the moment. Pictures below.

Senior 3 Hurling Final - Saturday in Parnell Park

This weekend is a huge one for our club.

Our Senior Men's Hurlers are in the Senior 3 Hurling Championship final on Saturday in Parnell Park at 4pm against our near neighbours Naomh Barróg. Make no mistake, this is a big deal! It is only the second occasion in the history of the club that we have reached a Senior Championship final in any code.

The club has produced a commemorative programme for the match that can be downloaded for free from here

We would ask members to come out in force in support of the team (Click here to purchase tickets). If any of the kids would like to bring along their hurls, they can go on to the pitch at half time for a puckaround! Also, the Club Bar and Astro will be open early after the game.

Please note that unlike previous matches there IS a charge for juveniles and tickets are required.

Many of our senior hurlers are involved in coaching in the nursery or juvenile teams so it is important we now support them. They are taking on a Division 1 Team in the final so all support will be welcomed.

Tickets Can Be Purchased Here: https://www.universe.com/events/go-ahead-senior-3-club-hurling-championship-final-tickets-Y02FB7

One final note - to celebrate the lads making the final, we will have a special €500 prize draw next week (27th October) in the Club Lotto (assuming the jackpot isn't won!). Click here to join in the lotto if you're not already in!

National Draw Grand Prize Winner - Aidan Conlon receives his brand new Dacia Duster!

As you may remember from earlier in the summer, Clontarf GAA member and mentor Aidan Conlon won the grand prize in the GAA National Draw! Aidan was recently presented with his prize - a brand new Dacia Duster. Some great pictures here from Windsor Airside of Aidan receiving his new wheels! Club Chairman, Ollie Mangan is also pictured.

Gallery: Men's Junior 3 Football Quarter Final v St. Jude's 18/09/2022

Some great photos here from Sunday’s Junior 3 Quarter Final. A great championship match, but unfortunately Jude’s held on for the win in the end. Still, a very good season overall for this team.

Thanks to Pat Walsh who raced back from Skerries to get these wonderful action shots!

Senior Men's Football Relegation Playoff

The Senior Men's Football Relegation Playoff match against Raheny is on Sunday 18th September at 12:00pm. The match is taking place in St. Margaret's GAA Club and is an all ticket game. Please come along if you can and support our lads for this important game and be the 16th Man for the team! Note that this is a venue change from the original plan of Parnell Park and also a further change from the second proposed location of O'Toole Park!

Tickets (€10) can be purchased here: https://www.universe.com/events/clontarf-v-raheny-tickets-P8QZ3J

Under 16s are free and no ticket is required.

Our Men's Footballers are all sponsored by Member First Credit Union.

Chairman's Night 2022

A great night was had last Saturday for Chairman’s Night with our very interesting, generous and straight-talking guest speaker Davy Fitzgerald. We hope everyone who came in such great numbers enjoyed the night. It was great to see everyone together again and hopefully this will be the first of more events to come over the next few months.

It was great also to see the Club Person of the Year awards finally given out for 2021 and 2022. These were given to Mick Cronin for all his work on the Pitch Allocation system over 10+ years and Carmel Maxwell for her tireless work setting up and running the wonderful All Stars Program. Congratulations to both very deserving recipients.

A huge thanks must go out to the Exec and PRO Teams who worked really hard to make the event such a great success. Thanks also to Sean O’Sullivan for taking the photos on the night.

Particular thanks of course to Damien O’Meara who did a fantastic job interviewing our guest and pushing the envelope just enough! I think they are still friends after it… Well done Damien!

The night was generously sponsored by Avolon Aerospace who, appropriately enough, sponsor our Men’s Hurling teams also.

Dermot Earley Youth Leadership Initiative 2022/23

Dermot Earley Youth Leadership Initiative (DEYLI) to start in September

We are excited to announce that Cluain Tarbh and Scoil Uí Chonaill GAA clubs will jointly host this fantastic programme starting in September.

The Initiative takes its name from one of Ireland’s and Connacht's most influential leaders and greatest sporting heroes, Dermot Earley (1948-2010). It is aimed at 16-18 year olds particularly those in TY. It has been developed by GAA and Foróige to help equip young people with the skills and qualities necessary to be good leaders, and to challenge them to use these skills to improve society.

The programme is held over 3 modules, generally on Fridays, in the early evening. It runs in parallel with the school year, starting in September.

For more information on the program click on this link to read the leaflet.

Registration is now open and will close on 14th September. To register interest in participating please click on this link or click the button below.

The clubs will hold an information session via zoom at 9pm on Wednesday 7th September.

Clontarf GAA Nursery Video

As we come towards the end of the Nursery season, this short video spotlights the amazing work the entire Nursery team does to provide the wonderful Saturday morning experience enjoyed by so many kids over so many years.

A huge Thank You to the whole team of brilliant volunteers who give their time and energy and of course a massive thanks too to our Nursery sponsors Nolan's of Clontarf for their continued sponsorship over so many years.

Credit for the video production goes to the wonderfully talented Cormac Hargaden from the PRO Team and LooseHorse Productions who did fantastic work pulling it together. Fair play Cormac.

So, whether you recognise your own kids in it, or if it reminds you of your own time or that of your older kids, or if you see something your smallies might enjoy in years to come, we hope you enjoy it!

This is the same team that runs the summer camps, so if you haven't booked in yet, make sure to grab one of the last few places (only 2016/7 places remaining) https://clontarfgaa.com/clontarf-gaa-club-camp

Welcome event for our new Ukrainian Friends.

It was a great day in the club today (despite the weather!) welcoming our new Ukrainian friends. Huge credit goes to the Clontarf Healthy Club & Ukraine Support teams, particularly Olga & Roisin & our nursery volunteers who helped out. Music from Clontarf Comhaltas & Ukelele Groups was great too! Thanks to Pat Walsh for the great pictures👍 🇺🇦 🇮🇪
