Hurl-A-Ton 21 - Defibrillator Fundraiser.
3-5pm, Saturday 10th July 2021.
Pitch 34/35 in St. Anne’s Park.
This event is now completed but you can still donate at:

Clontarf GAA Hurling and Camogie players are coming together, with support from Clontarf First Responders, to raise funds for additional local publicly available AEDs. On Saturday 10th July, we’re planning to puck a sliotar from St. Anne’s Park to Semple stadium (without leaving the park!) We’ll be pucking the ball for 100 miles or 160kM to raise money to purchase one additional public AED in the area.
The recent distressing incident involving Christian Eriksen at the Euros showed how important it is to have publicly available Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
The GAA has been working for a long time to make sure there are AEDs close at hand in GAA clubs and pitches. Did you know that 42 lives across Ireland have been saved by AEDs located in GAA facilities?
In Clontarf GAA we currently have two publicly available AEDs, one outside the clubhouse and one at the lockup at Pitch 34/35. However overall there are insufficient local publicly available AEDs in Clontarf.
Can you help? Our iDonate page is now open. Any donation no matter how small would be welcome. You never know, it might just save a life!

And if you’re around in St. Anne’s Park between 3pm and 5pm on 10th July, please swing by to support the players (while respecting social distancing guidelines!)
We’ve had great support for this initiative so far - below are two video messages from Liam Sheedy the current Tipp Manager and also from Shane McGrath, former Tipp Captain. Also below is the talk that Seaghan Kearney gave us on the night of the launch about his own experience of being revived by an AED.
Thanks for your support for our players in their efforts for this great cause!
