Carlingford Trip – U14 Girls May 2018

In order to celebrate what will hopefully be further success for the U14 group we are organising an overnight trip to Carlingford Adventure centre in May - Details of the proposed trip are outlined below

  1. Schedule
  • Friday 18th May - Depart Clontarf approx. 4:00 /5:00pm – Coach will take us to Carlingford
  • Arrive Carlingford around 6:30pm there will be one evening activity then evening meal and bed
  • Saturday 19th May - Breakfast, activity in morning then lunch and activity in afternoon
  • Depart Carlingford around 6:00pm on Coach arriving back in Clontarf around 8:00pm

* Times approximate and will be confirmed closer to the date

  1. Mentors / Adults

There will be minimum 4-5 mentors going on the trip.  While there will be female staff at the adventure centre we would also like there to be a number of female parents/guardians on the trip as well – cost for mentors/adults is the same as the girls (though you have to do the activities!).

If you are available to go (will be lots of fun!), please contact Gerard or Derek.

  1. Accommodation

Accommodation is in dormitories rooms (sleeping 6-12 each) with bunk beds – we expect that we would be assigned our own floor so won’t be mixing with other groups – depending on numbers mentors / adults will be in individual rooms.

  1. Activities

There is a great range of land and sea activities run by Carlingford Adventure, enough to suit everyone – closer to the time we will confirm what everyone wants to do.

  1. Cost

Cost for the trip is expected to be in range €100/€110 which includes coach transport to/from Carlingford, breakfast, lunch and evening meal, overnight accommodation and three sets of activities (incl instructors and equipment).

  1. Confirmation & Deposit

In order to secure the date we are looking to confirm interest in the next week or so and will require a deposit (€50). Please contact Gerard on 0868160818 or Derek on 0868213286 to confirm your interest by Sunday 27th January, deposit will be needed the following week.

Further details on Carlingford Adventure Centre can be found at:

We would encourage as many of the girls as possible to go; this should be a wonderful team building opportunity for the girls while having a great time and sharing some wonderful memories.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Gerard or Derek
