Fundraising Cycle 2017

The big fundraiser for 2017 is a 100 km cycle on the 1st of May 2017 (May Bank Holiday). As you are all aware, the club is growing quickly, but this means that it costs more to run. We are planning to run the cycle to raise much needed funds. The added benefit is that we can all get fit at the same time!

        *     Teams up to four (all female, all male or mixed)

        *     100 km Clontarf-Duleek (Co. Meath)-Clontarf

        *     50 km  Clontarf-Duleek and bus back to club

        *     Cost of team 800 euro

My hope is that all groups from Nursery to seniors will enter two teams. We have very big numbers in all our age groups which is great for spreading the cost of entering a team. If each team divides the cost among the whole squad no one is overly burdened. I am hoping to get an overall sponsor for the event and corporate teams would be a great addition.

All team members must complete the registration form and waiver. Please return to Trish Duffy or Brian O'Callaghan

Training will take place from the club each Sunday morning at 8 o Clock. It seems a big challenge but the hardest bit will be organising yourself to get out on the bike and we will start with very short spins, 30 mins, then a well earned cuppa back at the club. Of course people can train on their own if this time does not suit /arrange your own groups etc.

Next training spin Thursday April 20th 5pm from Áras Chluain Tarbh (40-50k)

Sunday April 23rd 8am from Áras Chluain Tarbh (80k)

Start at the club house and head to Duleek. There we will have refreshments/sandwiches and then return to the club for a meal and a pint. On the day, we will have outriders on motorbikes from An Garda Siochana and also club members, a support van with a bike mechanic and a support bus for people who do not wish to do the whole event.

We would like to welcome KPMG onboard as the main sponsor of the event.

Camile Thai Artane have kindly come onboard as our meal sponsor.

Clontarf GAA club is for all of us. It would be fantastic if all of our members and members’ families, could support this fun and worthwhile event.
