Clontarf has a unique, innovative and indeed pioneering nursery which dates back to 1978.Carefully introducting boys and girls to the world of Gaelic Games, the “action” takes place every Saturday morning with, presently some 330 children taking part each week.

The secret to the success of the nursery lies in the “small group syndrome” - where children enjoy coaching with a small group of pals. The emphasis is always on fun and involvement and then the skills. The club has been blessed with the many parents who come on board each year to help out and subsequently swell the number of mentors up through the ranks.
Childern from 4 years old are welcome to join any Saturday morning at our clubhouse all weather pitch.
Each season ends with a mini league series of matches, culminating in a colourful finals days which has developed into one of Clontarf’s truly community events.
The beginners Nursery is held from 9:45-10:45am every Saturday morning on the all weather pitch at the rear of our clubhouse. The Nursery season runs in conjunction with the school calendar year. For further information, contact Lead mentor Matt O'Neill (086-1527725).
Juvenile Membership Application forms can be downloaded from our 'Documents' section and returned to one of the lead mentors
Apart from the mini league finals held in June, the other big highlight of the nursery Calendar is the Christmas Party. Each year in early December all the Nursery kids enjoy party games, food and much more at the clubhouse.

Training Times:
Every Sat Morning from 9:30-11am at St. Pauls College, Sybill Hill.
The Junior and Intermediate groups share the St. Pauls Astro with each group alternating between grass/astro every 2nd week. The Senior Nursery also takes a slot for hurling midweek at the clubhouse astro.
The youngest group (Matt O’Neill) takes place at the clubhouse astro pitch every Sat 9:45-10:45.
During the winter months a Plan B exists such that all Nursery groups are facilitated on the astro for a 1 hour slot if the grass facilities are deemed unplayable.
