April 24th - Ladies Under 16 football.
The girls started their new league in good style with a 4-10 to 0-6 win over neighbours Scoil Ui Chonaill. The game was closer than the scoreline suggests although goals from Ruth Reynolds and Julie Warnock ensured that Clontarf lead 2-4 to 0-4 at the break. A second goal from Ruth Reynolds and a blistering finish from Sarah McGinn for fourth ensured the points for Clontarf.
Clontarf Scorers: S. McGinn 1-3 (3f), R Reynolds 2-1, J Warnock 1-0, C Carville 0-3, F. McGinn0-1, M Casey 0-1, N McNally 0-1.

May 8th - Ladies Under 16
Girls recorded a second league win against St. Marys of Saggart with a score of Clontarf 0-13 St. Marys 1-5.  A very tight Clontarf defensive display made up for some wayward shooting up front with Hannah Thornton, Fiona O'Farrell, Ciara Dunleavy and Ruth McGinn letting very little past them.  Clontarf scorers Sara McGinn 0-4 (2f), Ruth Reynolds 0-3, Cliona O'Flaherty, 0-2, Karen White 0-1, Laura Byrne 0-1, Miriam Foley 0-1, Fiona McGinn 0-1.

May 15th - Clontarf 4-2 Ballymun 1-4

This was a hard fought game played in Ballymun on Monday night.. Trailing by three points at half time (1-1 to 1-4) our girls dug deep in the second half and held Ballymun scoreless while adding 3 goals and 1 point. Ballymun having been beaten comprehensively last month were a different team last night and fought hard against a more skillful Clontarf team who showed enough bite to hold on to their unbeaten league run.

Clontarf Scorers:  Sarah McGinn 1-1 (if), Clare Quigley 1-1, Hannah Frasier 1-0, Karen White 1-0.

May 22nd - Clontarf 3-5 Kilmacud Crokes 2-4
The girls continued their winning ways on Sunday with another hard fought but very entertaining  win this time against a previously unbeaten Kilmacud side.  A low scoring first half saw Crokes hold a one point lead 1-1 to 1-2 despite having laid seige to the Clontarf goal.  The second half saw Crokes extend their lead with another goal however the Clontraf girls dug deep and responded with goals from Fiona O'Farrell and Clontraf player of the match Julie Warnock.  Mid way through the second half Clontarf were for ten minutes reduced to 14 players due to the "sin binning" of goakeeper Michelle Forde.  During this period the girls had to show great resolve to withstand further pressure but did so with style with Ciara Carville deputising in goal.

Clontarf scorers: Julie Warnock 2-1, Fiona O'Farrell 1-0, Sarah McGinn 0-2,
Ruth reynolds 0-1, Hannah Fraser 0-1.

Setpember 18th - Under 16 Ladies win league

The under 16 ladies finished their league campaign with a 6-7 to 1-6 win over Templeogue Synge Street in Bushy Park on Sunday. The game was in the balance at half time with Clontarf leading by 2-2 to 1-0 but a better second half display in the shooting department saw Clontarf run out easy winners. On a day when for a long time scoring proved difficult for Clontarf's forwards the defence held fast with solid performances from Laura Byrne, Catriona Healy, Catherine Duane, Fiona O'Farrell, Grainne Free and Ciar Dunleavy. This win means that the under 16s have finished their league without dropping a point.

Clontarf Scorers: Hannah Fraser 2-1, Julie Warnock 2-0, Sarah McGin 1-2 (1f), Fiona O'Farrell 1-0, Ciara Carville 0-2, Miriam Foley 0-2.

October 9th
Girls played a challenge on Sunday against Division 2 leaders Ballyboden St. Endas. Despite trying hard the girls came off second best on a scoreline of 1-6 to 4-11. Best for Clontarf were Grainne Free and Catherine Duane along with strong performances from Hannah Thornton, Hannah Fraser, Ruth Reynolds, Fiona O'Farrell and Ciara Dunleavy. Nov 27th - Clontarf 5-9 Clann Mhuire 1-13
Sunday afternoon saw a tremendous game played in St. Annes as our under 16s took on Clann Mhuire in the Division 3 League semi-final. Things looked ominous after a Clann Mhuire goal in the first minute but the Clontarf girls did not let it phase them and dominated the first quarter with Ciara Carville, Sarah McGinn and Julie Warnock scoring 2-5 between them. A sustained period of Clann Mhuire pressure before the half-time break saw the Clontarf lead reduced to a single goa.
The second half opend with a Clontarf 3 goal blitz from Hannah Fraser (1) and Sarah Murphy (2) which knocked Clann Mhuire back on their heels. Clann did not give up and the game continued to be well contesed. Despite scoring 8 points during the second half Clann were unable to make the goal breakthrough. Player of the match for Clontarf was Miriam Foley who seemed to cover every blade of grass on the pitch.
Clontarf Scorers: Ciara Carville 1-4, Sarah Murphy 2-1, Julie Warnock 1-0, Hannah Fraser 1-0, sarah McGinn0-3 (1f), Niamh McNally 0-1.

Jan 22nd - Championship - Clontarf V Round Towers

The Ladies U16 Team bowed out of the under 16 championship on Sunday after giving a fancied RT Clondalkin team a real fright in a great quarter final match at St. Annes. Fielding without five regulars our girls took the game to Clondalkin from the start and opended the scoring with an early Julie Warnock goal. Clontarf added two point before Clondalking scored their first point. At this stage bad luck played a part against Clontarf and Clondalkin were gifted three goals before the half time break at which tiime they led by 3-2 to 1-4. In the second half luck again abandoned Clontarf when a penalty was saved and the crossbar was hit while all the time Clondalkin were able to add five points to their half time total. The final score was Clontarf 2-4 Clondalkin 3-7. Outstanding for Clontarf were Julie Warnock, Ruth Reynolds, Catherine Duane, Cliona O'Flaherty, Ciara Carville and Sarah McGinn. Scorers: Julie Warnock 1-1, Ciara Carville 1-0 (p) Sarah McGinn, 0-1, Emer Cafferkey 0-1, Ruth Reynolds 0-1.

Feb 5th - League Div 3 Final- Clontarf V Kilmacud Crokes

A dismal first half during which Clontarf faled to score sealed the fate of the under 16s in their Diviision 3 league final against Kilmacud Crokes on Sunday. The game was played in Santry Starlights and despite playing with the "downhill" advantage Clontarf failed to settle and could not get to grips with running support play demonstarted by Kilmacud.
During the first half a speedy and cohesive Kilmacud taem scored 2-7 while hitting the crossbar was a close as Clontarf came to scoring. The second half was a different story and Clontarrf applied consisten pressure which yielded 2-2 however Kilmacud were able to weather the comeback and had enough in reserve to run out winners with a late goal making them uncatchable.

Best for Clontarf were Grainne Free, Ciara Dunleavy, Hannah Thornton and Hannah Fraser.

Clontarf Scorers: Sarah McGinn 2-0 (2f), Hannah Fraser 0-2.
