 Welcome to Clontarf GAA Minimize

Clontarf GAA Club was founded in 1961 and from humble beginnings has grown significantly in recent years to a point where in 2009 and nearing our Golden jubilee we have in excess of 1400 members. In total the club fields 45 teams, while at Adult level across Mens and Ladies Football and Mens Hurling we field 12 Teams a growth of 100% in the last 3 years. Our thriving and growing Juvenile level field 32 teams catering for Boys and Girls football, Boys Hurling and Camogie. Our NURSERY on a Saturday morning caters for almost 400 boys and girls ranging in age from 4 to 8 , with football, hurling and camogie. Our summer camps regularly cater for in excess of 500 young boys and girls in August and 300 children attended our recent Easter Camps. Our ethos is of participation, skill development and fun for all young people who join our club.

The dramatic growth in membership since 2000 necessitated the development of training, playing and meeting room facilities in line with the membership expansion. In 2002 we undertook the development of an all weather synthetic training pitch at the rear of our clubhouse on Seafield Road. This facility equipped with floodlights and costing 400,000 euro was funded out of club resources and has proven to be of enormous benefit in developing the skills of our players and enhancing the reputation of the club within the Clontarf area. It is regularly used for club member’s kid’s birthday parties and the local boys and girls school which are adjacent to the clubhouse enjoy access on a daily basis. During the winter season the all weather pitch is fully utilised from 3pm to 10pm every evening  Read More...
