Senior Championship Relegation - Dec 12th, 2007
The Senior Relegation Championship semi-final V Naomh Olaf will take place on Sun 16th at 11am in Thomas Davis' ground on Kiltipper Rd. All support welcome. The U21 Championship 1/4 final V Peregrines has been posponed until the New Year.

U21 game posponed, Seniors play Sunday - Dec 6th, 2007
Our Seniors will play Naomh Olafs in the Relegation Championship Semi Final on Sunday in O'Toole Pk at 12:30pm. Please get out and support the lads. The U21 game down for this Sat has been moved back 1 week to the 15th.
Senior Relegation Championship - Dec 6th, 2007
O'Tooles handed Clontarf a 15pt hammering in Parnell Pk on a night in which little went right for Clontarf. O'Tooles dominated from start to finish, even in the 2nd half when Clontarf had the strong breeze. The one bright note was the magnificant performance of Ger Ryan at full back.

This Sunday the club will compete in 2 Championship Finals, so we are asking for HUGE support please. At 11am in Clonsaugh (Directions) our Minor Hurlers take on Na Fianna. At 2pm our Adult Hurlers take on Craobh Ciaran in the Junior Final at Cloghran (Directions).

Mullins magic eases Under 21's into Round 2 - Nov 11th, 2007
Clontarf's Under 21's overcame the challenge of St. Marys (2-9,0-7) at St. Annes on Sat before good home support. Neil Mullins banged in 2 goals and Shane McIntyre was in fine freetaking form, scoring 8pts. Cian Reidy and David Shaw contributed a point a piece.
Junior Championship Final posponed - Nov 10th, 2007
Due to an objection by Na Fianna to the pitch size of the semi-final, Clontarf's Final V Craobh Ciaran is on hold. Despite a Dublin County Board rejection, the matter is now with the Leinster Council.
Seniors rocket back into promotion contention - Oct 31st, 2007
Surrounded by fireworks, bonfires and flying witches, Clontarf seniors posted an important victory over St. Brigids in the league tonight at St. Monicas pitch, Edenmore. Clontarf secured the points with a 1 point victory,thanks to a Shane McIntyre free after Ger Devine was fouled. This sets the stage for a dramatic final league game in which Clontarf must beat Fingal Ravens to make the playoffs.
Junior Hurlers reach the Final - Oct 30th, 2007
Clontarf Junior Hurlers will play Craobh Ciaran on Sun Nov 11th at 11am, O'Toole Pk in the Championship final. They overcame a strong Na Fianna challenge (2-7,1-9) in the semi-final at St. Annes pk, in front of great Clontarf support.
Minor Championship Glory - Oct 15th, 2007
Clontarf won their 1st ever Minor Football Championship in Parnell Pk on Sunday when they defeated Clann Mhuire (1-9,1-5). Under 16 Hurlers are up in lights - Oct 12th, 2007
Clontarf Hurlers won the U16 Championship D Shield Final when they defeated O'Tooles (3-6,5-3) under lights tonight at balmy Blunden Drive. Clontarf led by 1pt at the break but it was O'Tooles that led by 4 midway throught the 2nd half. Then captain Andrew Lambard struck for 2 great goals that took Clontarf clear.See - Under 16 Page .

Clontarf Under 13 Girls were crowned league champions last Sunday when they were awarded the points in the league clash Fingallians. Well done to all players and mentors on a fine achievement.
Minors advance to Championship Final - Sept 30th, 2007
Clontarf Minors defeated Craobh Ciaran (1-7,1-4) at Balgriffin today. An Alan Cooke goal opened the scoring for Clontarf in a closely fought encounter. Clontarf led by 2 pts at the break. Craobh edged in front by 2pts midway thought the 2nd half after a 30m free and a dubious penalty. That sparked Clontarf in action and points from Kevin McGrath(2), Chris Spellman and Alan Cooke had the seasiders ahead with minutes remaining. Gareth Johnson then fired over a magnificant sideline ball to send Clontarf on their way to Parnell Pk in a few weeks. Looking forward to Parnell Pk, more than most will be Lead mentor Shay McCaffrey who is currently in China helping out with the Special Olympics.

Junior Footballers through to Tournament Semi - July 31st, 2007
Fresh from a weekend trip to Galway the Junior Footballers defeated Craobh Ciaran in the Semi-final of the Inner City Tournament in Fairview Pk tonight. Craobh had hauled back a 9pt deficit to take the game to extra time, but 4 unswered points in the 1st period were enough to set Clontarf up for a semi final tomorrow night against 3 in a row chasing St. Vincents.

Junior Hurlers continue good run - July 19th, 2007
Clontarf Junior Hurlers defeated St. Judes in the league/Championship tonight. The team have posted 5 wins, 2 draws and 2 loses in the Championship to date and are well placed for a 1/4 final or even semi-final slot. The final league/C'ship round game will be against Ballyboden St. Endas in late August.
Forecast Competition Concludes - July 15th, 2007
Diarmaid McStay was the top prize winner (1,000euro) in this years Forecast Competition. Jim Murray was second and Ollie Mangan made up for his last place finish in 2006 by scooping 3rd prize. Junior A's defeat O'Tooles (1-9,1-6) - July 10th, 2007
Clontarf Junior A's bounced back from a narrow defeat to Civil Service last week to defeat O'Tooles by 3pts in the league. In a close contest Clontarf had opened up a 6pt lead before an O'Toole's goal narrowed the margin. Excellent 2nd half scores from Neil Mullins and Brian Keenan and great defending in the final 1/4 were enough to deliver the 2pts for the homeside.

Clontarf Ladies bowed out of the Intermediate Championship tonight, when they lost their final group game to Ballinteer SJ/Naomh Olaf (2-2,2-11). Helen Cliffe and Chris Doyle scored the goals. Ladies League commences - April 26th, 2007
Both Clontarf Ladies teams opened their league campaigns last night. The Intermediate team (Div 2) lost to St Brigids (1-4,1-14) but battled well throughtout, with excellent performances from Helen Cliffe, Martina Coen & Hannah Billings. The Junior team (Div 7) defeated Na Dubhgall (4-9,1-0). Clontarf turned in an impressive 2nd half display, with goals from Clare Quigley, Niamh McNally, Trish Reynolds and Megan Casey. Half time score was (0-4,1-0).

Midweek action - April 5th, 2007
A very depleted Senior side lost away to Erins Isle by 4pts. Despite the loss, it was a good team performance, with excellent contributions from Martin Dufficy (2pts), Graham Johnson,John O'Halloran and Ger Devine. Isles ability to take long range scores was the difference. Clontarf Ladies newly formed 2nd team played their 1st ever match and came away with a fine win over Na Dubhgall (5-12,2-2). There were big contributions from P.Reynolds(2-1), C.Duane(2-1) and E.Shaloo (4pts).

Juniors in midweek league action - April 3rd, 2007
Both Junior Football teams are in midweek action in St. Annes Pk (pitch 7,7pm) this week. The Junior A's play Man O'War tonight, beginning a difficult month, in which they will face 3 teams that made the playoffs last year (Man O'War, Plunketts and Ballyboden). On Thur the B's chase their 1st league points when they'll host St. Marys Saggart, Division 10 winners 2006.
Hurlers open their season - March 29th, 2007
Clontarf Junior Hurlers had an almost 2 hour cross city commute to face Ballyboden tonight in Cup Competition. This was the 1st competetive outing for Joe Holden's team and despite an excellent team performance the hurlers lost on a scoreline of (2-6,1-6). There were many impressive performances, esp. from Gerry Murphy, Robbie Stokes, Ro Kenny and a starring role from legend Matt O'Neill.

Mrs. Eileen Palmer R.I.P - March 14th, 2007
The death has taken place of Mrs. Eileen Palmer, Mother of former club chairman Don Palmer. Mrs Palmer will be fondly remembered from her days in teaching, up to the time of her retirement from the Holy Faith Junior School in 1994 where she taught for 13 years.Remains arriving at St. Anthony's Church, tomorrow Thursday at 6.00p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11.00a.m. The club executive meeting scheduled for Thursday night has been cancelled as a mark of respect.

For the 1st time there will be a Players Awards Night, seperate from the Dinner Dance. This event will be held in the clubhouse on Sat Feb 10th, 8pm. Junior A's retain AFL6 status - January 19, 2007
Clontarf Junior A's playoff match V St. Margarets was cancelled after St. Margarets conceeded today. This signals the end of the 2006 season and many thanks to management team of Chris McGinn, Paudie Kelleher and Alan Costello who are now stepping down.
